Somerston Estate


Somerston's 215 acres of vineyards are divided into 90 individual 'blocks' where the soil type (alluvial fan, Pleasanton Loam, Berryessa Loam and fractured shale), slope and exposure are maximized at each site.  The estate's cool nights, late morning fog, and warm days ensure that Somerston's grapes ripen slowly and evenly, developing intensely concentrated flavors balanced by smooth yet firm tannins and balanced acidity.
