SHIPPING POLICY

 

Shipping Methods and Costs

Shipping charges for each order are calculated at the time of check out, and the shipping carrier is selected internally based upon the shipping destination and weather conditions. You may request a specific carrier when placing your order; however, we do not guarantee your selection will be available for your area.

Orders placed by 10:00 PM Pacific Time will ship the next business day. In cases of extreme weather conditions (i.e., heat and/or cold), Somerston reserves the right to delay the release of shipments to ensure the highest quality of products at the time of arrival.


Hot Weather Shipping Policies

Temperature Controlled Shipping is available for most states, and delivery takes approximately three weeks. All orders placed between Tuesday afternoon and Sunday evening will ship on the following week. We recommend adding a Cool Pack to your order during hotter months when selecting Ground Shipping or 2-Day Air. Ground shipping is possible for the west coast states and is fulfilled Monday through Wednesday to limit heat exposure.

Delivery Information

Ground delivery will arrive within 7 to 10 business days. Delivery occurs Monday through Friday, and rarely on Saturdays for home delivery, excluding holidays. Unfortunately, we cannot ship alcohol to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us at (707) 967-8414 or email Customer Service.

 
Delivery Requirements

All wine shipments require a signature for receipt and a signature must be obtained from individuals over the age of 21 years.

 
Tracking Your Shipment

Where online tracking is available, the tracking link is included in your "Shipment Confirmation" email. Orders traveling via ground shipping may take up to two business days to appear in our system due to delays in receiving information from carriers. Orders traveling via temperature-controlled shipping may take 3-5 business days to receive tracking information.

 
Out of Stock Items and Substitutions

While we continually monitor inventory to ensure our website's accuracy, there are occasions when certain vintages sell out or are no longer available.
